“Therapies Fluffies” is a resource where you can play and interact with dogs of all kinds. This is currently located at the UCDavis campus. This type of resource are for Humber students who tend to be more stressed in their very own day to day living. Stress can be caused by anything, but being a student at Humber, the reasons could possibly be homework, procrastinating, exams, being far from home, etc. This resource fits into Humber’s sustainability plan because they share features that shows an environment that cares for their students. “Human Rights, Equity, and Diversity” states that initiating and integrating people of colour, genders, and race is what is sought in all programs to consider everyone with respect. By sense, it’s open to whomever and whenever. Therapies flufflies do not charge at all. Meaning, no student would need to pay any extra fees to join or come to this program. Paws for People, for example, is a healing pet therapy where they also share many benefits in why pet therapy is good for people of all ages. Such as:
- Physical: Releases endorphins (oxytocin), which calms a person.
- Mental: Lifts spirits and loosen depression.
- Mental: Encourages for people to talk.
